Our annual AGM was preceded by an enlightening talk by Melanie Brown. Melanie, a ceramics teacher of vast experience, was keen to ask us to look at our work in new ways, questioning what we wish to achieve, making extensive use of a sketchbook. Double Demonstration with Workshop Visit to Jason Braham & Tony Hall

Jason Braham gave a short talk on salt glazing using his varied collection of salt glazed pots as illustration. Ray Toms, a new member, brought some of his pots from Abuja, for us to handle. We were then shown round Jason’s salt glaze kilns, showroom and workshop where he demonstrated his working methods by completing a two part pitcher. After a short drive along winding lanes, we had lunch at Tony Hall's studio where members were treated to Tony making one of his majestic terracotta pots. ...
