Online demonstration by Michelle Young-Hares

We are very excited to have the fantastic Michelle Young-Hares demonstrate online for SWP members as a summer treat.

Michelle's ceramic sculptures aim to communicate a meaningful connection to the natural world through a joyful expression of form, texture, and pattern in clay.  She has a particular interest in botany, using macro photography to magnify and study the structure and growth patterns of plant forms, interpreting them back into clay structures that shift  between the known and unfamiliar.
Her sculptures are a combination of thrown, altered, handbuilt and textured clay, multiple glaze fired in an electric kiln to mid-temperature stoneware.

She is a regular exhibitor at Potfest and Celebrating Ceramics at  Waterperry Gardens where you can experience firsthand her intricate and stunning botanical sculptures.

We are ging to be recording the demonstration, so even if you can't attend on the day, please register for a ticket and we will let you know when the recording is live on the SWP website resources page.
